Snake hunter

Spring is finally here. I know this not because of the flowers in the yard, but by the arrival of the garter snakes. Sure enough, Peter caught three beautiful garters yesterday. All the kids – except baby, of course, – held a snake. They were quite docile.
The snakes were, that is, the kids [...]

I’ve been finished with the Culkin book for a few weeks now, but wanted to comment. Junior
is bizzare alright. More silly stream of conscienceness than a novel. I
found it in the novel section at the library (I’m so glad I didn’t pay
a penny for this book!) yet it lacks the structure of a novel. No [...]

Ha. That’s the plan. I”ve been so darn busy. No computer time. Today I must glue myself to this chair for awhile to catch up with you all, wade through the email pile and… goof off. Love goofing off on the ‘puter.

I guess I better post a [...]

What is with people? Today in the supermarket I attempted to make conversation with an employee and was shot down faster you can ask “paper or plastic?” It’s enough to suck the cheerfulness out of anyone.
It’s a cast of three in this little drama – the cashier, the bagger and myself. The Bag Lady – [...]

Finished Many Waters yesterday. I liked it well enough though I don’t think I will read it again. I need to get to the library. Time for a grown-up, contempory fiction read.

I’m more than halfway done with the book. I’m enjoying it, it’s an easy read and entertaining. I had that “ah-ha” moment when I figured out where the twins had gone after they touched the computer. The novel is like a mini Old Testament history lesson. L’Engle has a few se*ual refrences that are not [...]
